Alaska seniors, age 62+, have a new housing option in Anchorage with the opening of Thomas Center for Senior Leadership. Leaders of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, including the late Tay Thomas and late Carol Phillips, envisioned a new, faith-based, senior living community that provides additional support for Alaskans who want to maintain an active and vibrant lifestyle during their senior years.
Thomas Center consists of 14 efficiency, one- and two-bedroom private apartments for rent. Heated garages are available. Residents at Thomas Center also receive two-meals-a-day and share common areas including outdoor gardens, a spacious lounge area, crafts room and exercise facility. An on-site manager and resident assistant provide 24-hour assistance.
The entire community is invited to come celebrate the completion of Thomas Center and to tour the finished project. Hear more from the Thomas family, Rasmuson Foundation and others who are passionate about this unique and much-needed addition to the Anchorage housing community.
